Trader jailed nine months for stealing foodstuff

A Jos Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday sentenced a 23-year-old trader, Joseph Peter to nine months imprisonment for stealing foodstuff and agas cooker from his neighbour’s house. Magistrate Shawomi Bokkos sentenced Peter after he pleaded guilty to breaking and entry and theft. Bokkos in her judgment, however,gave the convict an option to pay N20,000 as fine.
