Nigeria’s Inflation Slows Slightly to 21.88% in July — Prices Remain High Despite Downtrend

Nigeria’s headline inflation rate eased marginally to 21.88% in July 2025 from 22.22% in June, according to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The moderation marks a continuation of the downward trend in the year-on-year headline figure, which now sits 11.52 percentage points lower than the 33.40% recorded in July 2024.
