Southern govs have abandoned their parties, supporting Tinubu – APC Chair, Yilwatda

The National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC,Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, says state governors from the South-South andSouth-East have abandoned the political parties they belong to in support ofPresident Bola Tinubu’s second term bid. Yilwatda said the governors are supporting Tinubu becausethey believe in his character. The APC Chairman, who was represented by the party’s DeputyNational Chairman, South, Chief Emma Eneukwu, spoke at the party’s 12thExpanded Stakeholders meeting which was held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa capital. He noted that governors and lawmakers are supporting thepresident to run for a second term due to his approach to governance. The APC Chairman said the doors of the ruling party arealways open to new entrants. He said: “I am very happy with the South South geopoliticalzone, because all the governors that were in the other political parties beforehave seen the quality of the character of the president and the person we arepresenting and marketing to return as the President of the Federal Republic,because of what they saw in Mr President, they have all abandoned their ownpolitical parties, and joined our great party, so that they can put handstogether to move Nigeria forward, and that is very commendable. “From the South East, we use the South South as an example,because all the governors are very realistic, understanding, they have moved onabandoning their parties, just to make sure that their goal of making Nigeria agreater country is achieved.”
