Chealsea improved in the second half, and their pressurepaid off when Chalobah met Reece James’ cross with a cushioned header into thefar corner for 2-1 ten minutes to the end. The Blues could not steal a point despite the valianteffort, as Man United sealed all three points to claim consecutive home winsfor the fist time since December 2023. Ruben Amorim’s side sealed only their second win of theseason, and improved to ninth position with seven points, one point behindsixth-place Chelsea. In other matches, Liverpool continued their perfect seasonfollowing a 2-1 victory over Everton in the Merseyside derby that ensured theEPL champions have won all five matches played so far. It was however a bad day at the office for Tolu Arokodare,Nigerian striker, who fired blanks on his second start for WolverhamptonWanderers who fell to a fifth defeat in as many matches, losing 3-1 at home topromoted Leeds United.
