Oyo State Government has declared a temporary closure of keyroads in Ibadan ahead of the coronation of former governor, Senator RashidiLadoja, as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland. The historic ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday,September 26, 2025, at Mapo Hall, one day after Ladoja’s 81st birthday. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the organising committeesaid the closures would begin at 7:00 a.m. and affect the following routes:Beere Junction inward Mapo Hall, Born Photo Junction inward Oja’ba, Idi-ArereJunction inward Oja’ba, and Itamerin Junction inward Mapo Hall. The committee explained that the measures were necessary dueto the high-profile nature of the event, which is expected to be graced byPresident Bola Tinubu and Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde. To ease traffic, the government designated three officialcar parks for invited guests: Ibadan North LGA Car Park, in front of the ImmigrationOffice, Agodi The football field beside Yemetu Police Station Liberty Stadium, Oke Ado Shuttle buses will be available to transport guests with validentry passes to Mapo Hall. Vendors, meanwhile, have been instructed to arrivebetween 6:00 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. to ensure smooth logistics. The committee also clarified that only the official convoysof the President and the Governor will be granted unrestricted access to thecoronation venue.
