‘APC is your natural home’ — Keyamo hails Gov Mbah’s defection from PDP

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, FestusKeyamo, has commended Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, for dumping the PeoplesDemocratic Party, PDP, and joining the All Progressives Congress, APC.Daily Post reports that Mbah, who was elected on the PDPplatform in the 2023 general elections, announced his defection to the APC onTuesday, citing the need to align Enugu with the federal government for fasterdevelopment. Reacting in a post on X, Keyamo described the APC as a“natural home” for Mbah’s developmental vision, noting that his record ofgovernance and achievements made the move a fitting one. “When I came to Enugu a few months ago to launch Enugu Air,I said it would be a miracle for anyone to beat you in future elections,”Keyamo said. “Thank God you’ve now joined forces with President Bola Tinubu todeepen progress and unity in Enugu and the Southeast.” The minister further described Mbah as the “undisputedleader of Enugu APC,” assuring him that the decision would strengthen hispolitical base in the state.
