The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, NyesomWike, has cautioned residents against resorting to social media to complainover their problems. Wike noted that even if citizens complain on social media 50million times, “what they won’t get through the door, they won’t get it throughthe window.” He urged citizens to always support and call the attentionof the government to their problems. Wike spoke at the flag-off of the construction of CollectorRoad C01 in Institution and Research District linking the Body of Benchers toNile University Area, including a bridge. His comment comes as a former presidential candidate, PeterObi had raised an alarm over the deplorable state of the LEA primary school inKapwa area of Abuja. However, Wike urged citizens to always make theircontributions when the opportunity arises. Wike said: “Yesterday we were at Ken Udeze Streets tocommission those roads. And I told them that unknown to us, I had to say it toeverybody to know, I may stay in this Abuja for about five, six, seven, 10, 20,but it will be difficult for you to know the entire Abuja. “It will be very difficult, and so you need the support ofgood citizens who will call the attention of the government that certain areasneed some attention. “I told people if you like go 50 million times to socialmedia, what you didn’t get through the door, you won’t get it through thewindow. “We must be, I mean, yes, we believe in criticism, but moreconstructive criticism. I hope all of us will understand that no government, even if it stays 20 years, even if one of these African countries that havestayed for 43 years and here, or 45 years as president, cannot solve the entireproblems of that country. “What’s important now, when you have an opportunity, makeyour own contribution.”
