Take me with my lawyer – Moment Sowore was picked by Nigeria Police

Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, demanded that hislawyer be allowed to accompany him when operatives of the Nigeria Police Forcetook him from the Federal High Court in Abuja. The activist, who was at the court on Thursday to meet withNnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, was arrestedon the court premises. Although officers in the video could be heard saying thatthe activist was not being arrested, they said the Commissioner of Police “saidwe should bring you to the office.” Sowore questioned why no letter ofinvitation had been issued. He insisted that his lawyer be allowed to accompany him tothe Commissioner’s office, saying: “You said the Commissioner of Police saidyou should arrest me by force? You didn’t bring any letter of invitation. Youhave to take me with my lawyer.
