The Lagos State Government has started disbursing compensation to Oworonshoki residents whose homes were recently demolished. Affected landlords are receiving between ₦2 million and ₦5 million, based on their property’s type and size. Officials emphasized that only those with verified and enumerated structures qualify for the payments. The initiative aims to ease financial burdens and aid resettlement for families impacted by the area’s ongoing redevelopment projects.
