General Overseer of the Living Word Conquerors GlobalAssembly, Bishop David Abioye, has lambasted Nigerian leaders for denying thealleged Christian genocide in the country. There has been a serious debate regarding the claim ofChristian massacre in Nigeria. Some lawmakers and religious freedom fighters in the UnitedStates have alleged that over 30 Christians are killed every day in Nigeria. Calling for Nigeria to be designated as a Country ofParticular Concern, CPC, the lawmakers alleged that several churches in Nigeriahave been destroyed by Islamic extremists. But the Federal Government has since dismissed the claims,stating that the security crisis in Nigeria does not target a particularreligion. Addressing the matter while speaking to the congregationduring a sermon, Abioye claimed people are “being buried in hundreds.” According to him, Nigerian leaders are denying the claim fortheir “personal interests.” He said, “Information with facts can’t be thwarted. You seepeople being buried in hundreds and you said there is no genocide?
