In a post on her official Facebook page on Friday, Natashastated that while Akpabio “smiled genuinely,” others wiped their tears when herletter was read. According to the lawmaker, “During plenary, Akpabio, thesame man who presided over my suspension, the same leader whose allies pushedfor my seat to be declared vacant, stood at the podium and read aloud myelegantly crafted invitation. “The chamber erupted in applause. Senators from acrossdivides clapped. Some laughed at the irony. Others wiped tears. Akpabio smiledgenuinely, it seemed. And Natasha? She sat poised, radiant, unbowed.”
