The Adamawa State Police Command has cleared the air on a social media rumor, declaring a viral Facebook post claiming Fulani terrorists beheaded the state CAN chairman as “completely false and inciting.”The inflammatory post, attributed to a user named Lionman Lioni, spread like wildfire online, stoking fears of religious violence. Police swiftly countered with an official statement: “There is no such incident recorded anywhere in Adamawa State.” Commissioner of Police Dankombo Morris labeled it the “handiwork of mischief-makers” designed to sow panic and division.CP Morris urged residents to ignore the hoax and verify information through credible channels before sharing. An investigation is underway to track down the originator and accomplices, with prosecution promised.
