The stolen Toyota Hilux belonging to the convoy of the KanoState Deputy Governor has been recovered by the police after a swift operation. This is contained in a statement by Ibrahim Garba Shu’aibu,the Press Secretary to the Deputy governor, Comrade Aminu AbdulSalam Gwarzo onWednesday. The Deputy Governor’s Office confirmed the recovery,explaining that the vehicle was found in the early hours of the day following aswift and coordinated operation by security operatives. A suspect, identified as a permanent and pensionable driver,has been arrested in connection with the theft and is helping the police withtheir investigation. The Deputy Governor’s Office praised the prompt response andprofessionalism of the police and other security agencies who helped recoverthe vehicle. It also described the act as a clear breach of trust by thearrested driver. “The general public is hereby advised to remain calm andrest assured that the security of lives and property remains the top priorityof the Kano State Government, both within and outside the Government House,”the statement added.
