Ooni of Ife, Yoruba Monarchs Back Bill for Reserved Women's Seats in Legislature

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and the Council of Yoruba Traditional Rulers have endorsed the proposed bill for reserved legislative seats for women, pledging to rally political leaders in their domains to support the initiative.The commitment was announced during a meeting between the Ooni, Southwest lawmakers, and advocates of the Special Seats Bill, led by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS).
