Bury my body within four weeks of death – Fayose instructs Ekiti Govt

Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has directed thathis body be buried within four weeks of his death. Fayose also set out detailed instructions for his burial,including a request that no one should visit after he is laid to rest. He stated that both his body and all burial arrangementsshould be handled by the Ekiti State Government. In a six-minute video shared on YouTube by City Edge TV onSaturday, Fayose, who turns 65 today, said, “Remember me for anything. And whenI die, let me say this. Death is inevitable. My body belongs to the Ekiti StateGovernment. I’m delivering a letter to the governor.” He further noted that regardless of when he dies, the stategovernment should assume responsibility for his remains. “Let us say in another 20, 30 years, 15 years, whatevertime, for the glory of God. The Ekiti state government takes over my body, andI must be buried within four weeks. Because the state might not be ready withintwo, three days, we allow them four weeks,” he added. Fayose added that his children should dress in their ownclothes and comply fully with the directives of the government at the time ofhis death.
