Two feared dead, many missing as suspected herdsmen raid Benue communities

Suspected armed herdsmen have launched fresh attacks on Div,Nzaav and Jato-Aka in the Turan axis of Kwande Local Government Area of BenueState, leaving two persons dead and and many others innured. It was gathered that two identified victims, Iornenge Utyoand Ywerkaa Tsavnande, were recovered lifeless following the attack, whileseveral persons mostly women and children remain missing as search operationscontinue across the affected communities. According to community members, the armed herders stormedthe villages in the early hours of the day, forcing many residents to flee forsafety. The extent of destruction is yet to be fully ascertained aslocals continue combing bushes and deserted homes in search of missing persons.
