Kebbi Govt Confirms Abduction of Female Students at Maga Girls School

The Kebbi State Government has confirmed the attack on MagaComprehensive Girls Secondary School, GGCSS, in Danko-Wasagu Local GovernmentArea, where terrorists abducted an unconfirmed number of female students. Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris,confirmed the incident on Monday, noting that the government was stillcompiling details of the attack. The late-night assault left the vice principal, Malam HassanYakubu Makuku, dead, while several others sustained injuries as students fledin panic. Deputy Governor Umar Tafida visited the scene alongsidesecurity operatives and senior government officials to assess the situation andcoordinate an immediate response. Security personnel have since been deployed to track theattackers and secure the school environment. The state government has urgedresidents to remain calm as rescue operations continue. Officials are also liaising with the families of theabducted students, while medical attention is being provided for the injured. Governor Nasir Idris condemned the attack, describing it asa tragic assault on education and public safety. He assured that securityagencies have intensified operations to rescue the abducted students andprevent further incidents in the area.
