Atiku’s top loyalist Jada resigns national publicity secretary position in ADC

The Assistant National Publicity Secretary and North EastPublicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Umar Jada, hasresigned from the position. Jada, who is a kinsman and top loyalist of presumedpresidential front runner of the party, Atiku Abubakar, said in his letter ofresignation that he took the decision to refocus his attention on othercritical commitments.‎‎”I write to formally tender my resignation as the assistantnational publicity secretary and zonal publicity secretary of the AfricanDemocratic Congress (ADC) effective immediately,” Jada stated.‎Jada, better known around Adamawa State as Calculate, addedthat ‎stepping down is a difficult but necessary choice so he could attend topersonal matters that requires his full attention.‎‎He said it had been a privilege for him to have contributedto the growth and visibility of the ADC and that the party could count on himto continue respecting the its leadership. Jada had, since the emergence of theADC as a growing opposition platform, been a megaphone for Atiku long before hetook up his role as national and regional image maker of the party. His resignation is seen by observers in Adamawa State as asurprising new occurrence in the long twists and turns that have characterisedthe state chapter of the party in the past couple of months.
