The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has introduced sweeping changes to its cash withdrawal policy, raising the individual withdrawal limit from N100,000 to N500,000 and eliminating all charges on cash deposits. The announcement was made in a circular dated December 2, 2025, signed by Rita I. Sike, Director of the Financial Policy and Regulation Department.
