The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has re-elected YusufDantalle as its national chairman. Dantalle was re-elected for another two-year term on Mondayin Abuja. Dantalle is the national chairperson of the Allied PeoplesMovement (APM). He reclaimed the IPAC chairmanship unanimously after KennethUdeze of the Action Alliance, his only rival, withdrew from the contest.IPAC serves as the umbrella organisation for all registeredpolitical parties in Nigeria. Other elected officers are Zainab Ibrahim (deputy nationalchairman), Maxwell Mgbudem (national secretary), and Maryam Garba Bagel (deputynational secretary). Dipo Olayoku (national treasurer), Chinyere Kalu (nationalorganising secretary), Umar Mohammed (national financial secretary), MartinsEgbeola (national publicity secretary), and Obed Agu (national legal adviser)make up the executive team. Speaking afterwards, Dantalle said the election is a“victory for sustainable democracy and development in IPAC and the nation”. “It is our collective victory and a triumph of hope for abetter, greater and brighter Inter Party Advisory Council,” he said. Dantalle added that he kept his promise to establish thedirectorates for women, youth, and persons with disabilities. “IPAC will keep growing from strength to strength as wecollaborate with stakeholders and citizens to build a strong, virile, united,equitable and inclusive democratic nation,” he said.
