The 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria PeoplesParty, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has declared that he is not for sale afterGovernor Abba Yusuf of Kano state left the party. Kwankwaso made this declaration on Friday while speaking tosupporters immediately after Governor Yusuf’s exit from the NNPP. Recall that Yusuf on Friday officially resignedfrom the NNPP, citing protracted internal crises and legal disputes that hesaid have weakened the party’s cohesion nationwide. Reacting, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, said heis committed to his political ideals, declaring that he would not compromisehis principles for personal gain. According to the former Kano state governor, hislong-standing political struggle had always been aimed at the emancipation ofordinary Nigerians. “I’m not for sale. Our political convictions keep megrounded. If I were in it for personal gain, I would have taken the easy routeand you would be looking for me elsewhere, not in this place,” he said.
