The General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, a PortHarcourt-based church, David Ibiyeomie, has declared that the unending fightbetween Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and the Minister of theFederal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is spiritual. According to him, there is nothing any mortal man can do tostop the conflict, adding that only God can end the political logjam. Addressing members of his congregation in a video that hasgone viral, the pastor recalled that Peter Odili fought his benefactor, RufusAda George; Chibuike Amaechi fought Peter Odili, who helped him becomegovernor; Nyesom Wike battled Amaechi, his boss; and now Fubara is taking onWike. Ibiyeomie noted that the same scenario would play out shouldFubara decide to pick a successor after his tenure. “Because if God speaks to me, I will say it. No mortal man,I repeat, can solve the problem of Rivers State. No mortal man. It’s not aphysical problem. “Has the President been able to solve it? No. I will giveyou a story so you can understand. I’m a man of God. Ada George was a governorand Peter Odili was under him. Odili fought him. “Amaechi was Odili’s boy; Amaechi fought him. Wike wasAmaechi’s boy; Wike fought him. Sim was the boy to Wike and they are fighting. It can never be solved by any physical man, except by the hand of God. “This is because it’s not a physical problem. Even if Simpicks somebody today, the person will fight him. It’s a spiritual problem. Theyhave tried all means, even the President, and have not been able to solve theproblem.”
