Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on PublicCommunications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal CapitalTerritory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has said Governor Sim Fubara is weak if theMinister is controlling the state House of Assembly. Olayinka said Fubara is showing weakness if he allows Wiketo control the political structure in the state. He spoke while featuring on Channels Television’s MorningBrief. According to Olayinka: “There are things that I will notcome to this station to say. I know this political game very well, I have beenaround for a very long time. “I know when people come and talk while another thinghappens behind the closet. “The one that people will talk on television will bedifferent from the one that is happening. And on this Rivers issue, what peoplehave come to tell you on television is different from what is happening, andthe person of the governor knows that. “If I’m a minister and you are a governor and I’m able tocontrol your House of Assembly, then something is wrong with you, you are weak. “If I’m here in Abuja and controlling 27 members of yourHouse of Assembly, you only have three, and they are not coming to the houseagain; that means that all entire members, I’m the one controlling them, youshould agree and admit that you are weak. “You should come to me and prostrate and do Twale to me. IfWike controls the political structure and you are the governor, then he shouldcome to me and do Twale if you are wise, he should come and beg. “If you are a governor and you can’t control any structurein your state, then what kind of governor are you? If another person iscontrolling your structure, it means that the person is stronger than youpolitically.”
