Wike is being engaged to end Rivers crisis – APC National Secretary

National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC),Ajibola Basiru, has revealed that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory(FCT), Nyesom Wike, is being engaged to end the lingering political crisis inRivers State. Basiru, who made the revelation on Thursday during aninterview on TVC News, admitted that Wike is a critical stakeholder in thepresent administration. He said Wike is being engaged to find a solution to thecrisis because Rivers State is critical to the success of President BolaTinubu. “Wike is an avowed supporter of President Tinubu, eventhough he is not in the APC. As someone who is interested in the success ofPresident Bola Tinubu, Rivers State is critical for that success. “He is being engaged to resolve the political crisis inRivers State,” he said. Wike and his estranged political godson, Siminalayi Fubara,have been locked in a protracted crisis over the political structure of thestate.
