Tinubu Convenes APC Stakeholders at Presidential Villa to Strategize Ahead of Party Convention

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu hosted a high-level meeting with top leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa on Thursday. The session focused on reviewing preparations for the party's upcoming national convention and congresses.The closed-door gathering brought together prominent figures from the APC's national leadership, state governors, and the party's caucus in the National Assembly. Among those in attendance were Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum), Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma (Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum), House of Representatives Majority Leader Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, Chief Whip Usman Bello Kumo, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, and APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Bashiru.APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda described the meeting as brief yet highly productive. He emphasized its role in aligning preparations and fostering greater cohesion across different levels of government and party structures.“It was a brief meeting to review our preparations for the convention and congresses and to strengthen synergy between all arms of government,” Yilwatda told State House correspondents. “We want everyone, the national, sub-national, and the National Assembly to be on the same page, and I believe we achieved our objectives.” He highlighted the APC's ongoing rapid growth, noting an influx of new members, governors, and lawmakers. “The party is expanding every day. We are growing beyond bounds, and we want to ensure that in the course of this growth, nobody is left behind.”Yilwatda praised President Tinubu's contributions, calling him a highly experienced politician whose insights continue to fuel the party's expansion and resilience. “Mr President is a very experienced politician.
