Habeeb ‘Peller’ Hamzat, the content creator, has revealedthat Funke Akindele, the filmmaker, came to his aid following his arrest inDecember. The TikToker had been involved in a controversial incidentlate last year, where he had intentionally crashed his car during a livestream, leading to his arrest by the Lagos state police command. The police condemned the act as “extremely dangerous,”noting it risked fatal consequences for both the influencer and the public. Thecase was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) forfurther inquiry, after which he was released from detention. In a now-viral video from the premiere of movie ‘LoveNotes’, Peller was seen greeting Akindele as they both exchanged pleasantries. The content creator expressed gratitude to Akindele, addingthat she supported him during his arrest and stay in prison. “She helped me, she was the one who helped when I was inprison. She was the one who helped my life,” he said.
