Why I visited Gov Yusuf in Kano – APC Sec, Ajibola

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress,APC, Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, has explained why he visited the Kano Stategovernor, Abba Yusuf. Ajibola had paid a courtesy visit to Yusuf at the KanoGovernor’s Lodge. In a statement on his social media page, Basiru describedthe meeting as an opportunity to explore ways to further consolidate the APC’spresence in Kano State. He wrote: “I paid courtesy visit to the Kano State Governor,H.E. Abba Yusuf, at the Kano Governor’s Lodge. “The visit afforded us opportunity of discussing how tofurther strengthen and unify our party, the APC, in Kano State and further thesupport base of the Governor.” The visit comes weeks after Governor Yusuf’s high-profiledefection from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to the APC in late January2026.
