Rema breaks Wizkid’s record for longest-charting African album on Billboard World Albums

Nigerian singer Rema’s debut album ‘Rave & Roses’ hasended its record as the longest-charting African album on Billboard WorldAlbums Chart, hitting a milestone of 170 weeks on the chart. Rave Roses broke the record, which was previously held byWizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ (164 weeks) last year. Other longest-charting African projects on chart includeTems’ ‘Born In The Wild’ (79 weeks), Burna Boy’s ‘Love, Damini’ (63 weeks), andthe legendary Fela’s ‘The Best Of The Black President’ (45 weeks). Meanwhile, Rema earned his second Billboard Hot 100 chartentry this week with ‘Secondhand’ with Don Toliver, debuting at 29. His compatriot, Tems, also debuted with a new song ‘What YouNeed’ on Hot 100 this week, bringing her total to seven, a joint African recordwith Burna Boy and South African group Seether.
