Protesters on Tuesday returned to the National AssemblyComplex for the second consecutive day, intensifying calls for real-timetransmission of election results from polling units to the Independent NationalElectoral Commission’s IREV portal. Protesters were heard chanting, “We no go gree, we no gogree, Akpabio, pass the bill,” as demonstrators gathered at the entrance of theNational Assembly Complex in Abuja. Some protesters were also heard chanting “Our vote mustcount.” The demonstrators also carried placards bearing strongmessages, including “Don’t alter the bill, pass it,” and “Rigging election is acoup,” alongside other inscriptions. The chants were directed at Senate President GodswillAkpabio, as demonstrators urged the leadership of the National Assembly toprioritise the bill.
