The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress,APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru, says the African Democratic Congress, ADC, issaying the FCT elections were not free and fair because its candidates lostwoefully. Basiru made this statement on Tuesday during an interview onArise Television’s ‘Prime Time’ . He said while the APC is doing its best to mobilise,organise, create structure, and think ahead, others were eating groundnuts inmarkets and doing skits, stressing that such was not politics. “Most of the time, people turn themselves to comediansbecause they are in the political space. “We just had an election two weeks ago, and they are stillsaying the elections were not free and fair because their candidates lostwoefully.“Before the election, we saw them saying that the signpostfor the 2027 election is the FCT polls. Out of 62 councilorship seats, theycan’t win one. Out of six chairmanship seats, they can’t win one “On that same day, two bye-elections were held in Rivers andKano states each and were won by the APC,” he said.
