War: I lost my father, wife, must revenge – Iran’s new Supreme Leader vows

Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has vowed toavenge the death of his father and his wife in the US/Israeli war with Iran. Mojtaba made the vow on Thursday in his first publicstatement after the war, calling for unity among the Iranian people andacknowledged the hardships endured during the recent conflict. He sympathized with families who lost loved ones and pledgedthat damages would be compensated. “We have to protect this unity, and this is only possiblewhen we are together, and we find common ground,” the statement said. Khamenei (Jnr) linked the nation’s suffering to his ownpersonal losses, noting that his father, the former supreme leader, and membersof his family were killed in recent strikes. “I lost my father, I lost my wife. My sister lost her childas well as her husband,” he said, adding that faith and patience were essentialto enduring such trials. He equally hailed citizens from all walks of life who stoodagainst the enemy and emphasised resilience in the face of adversity.
