BREAKING: Several passengers injured as Abuja-Kaduna train derails

Several passengers have been confirmed injured as an Abuja-bound train en route to Kaduna on Monday derailed after a collision. Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation,Kayode Opeifa, confirmed the incident on Monday. According to him, the train encountered an incident nearAsham. He explained that no person had died while filing thereport; however, the injured passengers had been brought back to Idu trainstation for necessary medical attention. Opeifa said NRC is currently carrying out an investigationto ascertain the exact cause of the incident. “It is confirmed that our Abuja-Kaduna train had an incidentat Asham. Passengers were injured while an investigation is ongoing into theexact cause of the incident,” he said
