As from May 1, 2026 beneficiaries of diaspora remittances will no longer collect money sent to them in dollar or any other foreign currency, but only in Naira. The apex bank issued the directive on Wednesday told all International Money Transfer Organisations (IMTOs) to open naira settlement accounts to give effect to this new order.
