Country: Lebanon Source: Amel Association International Please refer to the attached file. Amel Association International activated its emergency response plan and declared a nationwide state of emergency across its 40 centres and mobile units. The primary goal is to provide immediate relief to displaced populations and those in conflict-affected areas, while ensuring the continuity of essential services: health, support to older people, protection, education, and food security and core relief items. Amel Emergency Response is spread out in different site types to reach the most vulnerable people: Amel centers, collective shelters, camps, municipalities, households... Amel’s mobile units, in coordination with relevant local and national stakeholders, are strategically positioned to address the specific needs of individuals. 54,937 people reached across 170 sites and 8 governorates since March 2, including Lebanese (73%), Syrian (19.6%), Palestinian, and migrant populations. Distribution: 4,553 relief items distributed to 5,208 individuals across 719 distributions — including dignity kits, mattresses, thermal blankets, hygiene kits, and food parcels; 75% delivered directly to households. Health: 21,354 health services provided, 13,868 medical consultations, and 11 active Primary Health Care Centers operational; Mobile Medical Units deployed to 52 sites. Protection: 17,624 individuals reached; 246 recreational activities for children; 23 GBV awareness sessions reaching 1,949 people; Group PSS and MHPSS sessions delivered across shelters. Vulnerable groups prioritized: 964 people with specific needs reached; 570 older persons served; 59 assistive devices distributed; dedicated support for pregnant and lactating women. Operational goal: Scale response to 100,000 people per month across all governorates, with expanded mobile medical units and shelter coverage. Key gaps: Funding shortfalls, stock depletion of essential medicines and NFIs, and difficulty reaching IDPs dispersed across informal settlements outside shelters and conflict-affected areas.
