Now we have that too.” This Gender Alert was developed by Afghanistan’s Operational Gender Coordination Group, in collaboration with the Regional Operational Coordination Group for the eastern region. It draws on preliminary updates, information and reports from women’s organizations, women humanitarian actors and the Afghan Women’s Advisory Group. Given the on-going active hostilities, which continue to restrict mobility and access to affected areas, the analysis is based on data that could be collected without compromising the safety of assessment teams.
