The 2025 cereal production is estimated at approximately 8.7 million tonnes, surpassing the five-year average, with significant outputs from wheat, triticale, and barley. Additionally, import requirements for the 2025/26 marketing year are projected to be above average, driven by increased domestic consumption, while prices of wheat flour have risen by about 5 percent compared to the previous year, influenced by seasonal demand.
