A proposal for the establishment of a Maritime Desk within the United Nations Positive Livelihood Award Centre (UN-POLAC) has been put forward during discussions for the 2026 International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace. Prince Olayiwola Shittu, who has recently been recognized as an International Peace Advocate, emphasized the importance of this initiative in addressing maritime issues that affect global peace and security. The proposed desk aims to serve as a dedicated platform for promoting dialogue and cooperation among nations on maritime challenges.
