President Bola Tinubu has officially appointed Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Nigeria's new Minister of Foreign Affairs. This appointment follows the resignation of Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, who has decided to run for a seat in the 2027 elections in Bauchi State. Prior to this elevation, Ambassador Odumegwu-Ojukwu held the position of Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Additionally, the President has put forward a nomination for another individual, although details regarding this nomination have not yet been disclosed.
