President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has terminated the appointment of Saidu Mohammed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA). This decision comes in the wake of ongoing disputes regarding jet fuel pricing, which have been exacerbated by complaints from Dangote Refinery. Following this development, Rabiu Umar has been nominated to succeed Mohammed in the leadership of the regulatory body.
