Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, has officially entered the race for the governorship of Bauchi State by acquiring the All Progressives Congress (APC) expression of interest and nomination forms on Wednesday. The forms, which cost N50 million, were secured as Tuggar prepares to campaign for the upcoming election. In statements made to reporters following the purchase, he emphasized that addressing insecurity will be a primary focus of his proposed administration, among other key priorities.
