Fire destroys shops in Kano

A fire outbreak occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, resulting in significant damage to a business plaza located along Airport Road in Kano. The incident, which took place at No. 20A Airport Road in the Fagge Local Government Area, destroyed two hospital equipment shops situated on the ground floor of the two-storey building. The Kano State Fire Service reported that they received a distress call at approximately 4:01 a.m. from a resident named Chukude, prompting the immediate mobilization of firefighters from various stations within the metropolis. Upon arrival, responders found the building engulfed in flames and deployed multiple firefighting trucks from nearby stations to combat the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and the Director of the Kano State Fire Service has urged residents to take precautions to prevent future incidents.
