Justice Dehinde Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, has imposed a 45-year prison sentence on Funmilola Arike Ogbuaya, a Lagos-based socialite known as Ariket, for her involvement in cocaine trafficking. The conviction stems from her unlawful exportation of 1.595 kilograms of cocaine to Saudi Arabia. The court sentenced Ogbuaya to 15 years for each of the three counts of drug trafficking, with the sentences to run consecutively. This ruling underscores the judiciary's commitment to combating drug-related offenses in Nigeria.
