The Kano State Government has allocated N21.29 billion for the rehabilitation of essential water infrastructure in response to ongoing water supply shortages affecting residents. This decision was made by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, as confirmed in a statement by the Acting Commissioner for Water Resources, Dahir Muhammad Hashim. The initiative aims to address the critical water needs of the population and improve overall access to safe water across the state.
