President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Mr. Rilwan Lanre Babalola to serve as the Special Adviser to the President on Power. In addition to this role, Babalola will also chair the Presidential Task Force on Power Sector Reset and Restoration. Furthermore, the President has redefined the responsibilities of the Office of the Special Adviser (Energy), renaming it as the Special Adviser (Oil & Gas) to provide clearer delineation of duties within the energy sector.
