The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has released a final report detailing the ongoing humanitarian impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on Estonia and other affected countries. Since the onset of the conflict, Estonia has welcomed approximately 123,000 displaced individuals from Ukraine, prompting the government to establish a temporary protection framework that grants rights to residence, education, employment, and healthcare. The Estonian Red Cross has been actively involved in providing essential humanitarian assistance, including first aid, psychosocial support, and the distribution of vital supplies. As of September 2025, around 41,780 displaced individuals remain in Estonia, facing ongoing challenges such as limited access to healthcare, employment opportunities, and educational integration, particularly for children.
