Idris Miliki Abdul, the executive director of the Conscience for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution (CHRCR), has highlighted insecurity and poverty as significant barriers to achieving decent work and sustainable development in Nigeria. During a pre-2026 International May Day ceremony organized in Kogi, he expressed concern that these issues are progressively undermining the rights and livelihoods of citizens. Abdul emphasized the urgent need for comprehensive strategies to address these challenges in order to foster a more stable and equitable work environment in the country.
