The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has confirmed that the airlift of intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj will commence on May 7, 2026. Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, the executive secretary of the board, made this announcement during a press briefing held in his office. Additionally, the airlift for pilgrims from Plateau State is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2026. Both states are making preparations to ensure a smooth process for their respective pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia for the religious pilgrimage.
