China has officially implemented a zero-tariff policy for 53 African countries with which it maintains diplomatic relations, marking a significant advancement in trade relations between China and Africa. This initiative enhances China's preferential trade policies, which were previously extended to 33 least developed African countries in December 2024. The expansion to all 53 countries is expected to foster mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthen economic ties between China and the African continent. The move is seen as a pivotal step in enhancing trade dynamics and promoting economic growth within the region.
