The Commissioner of Police for Plateau State, CP Bassey Ewah, reported that the police command has documented 64 incidents of rape and defilement since he took office in February 2026. This announcement was made during a press briefing where he also presented 18 suspects who were arrested on various charges, including rape, homicide, illegal arms possession, and cultism.
