The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), in partnership with Lufredha Maritime Academy, has initiated a three-day intensive training program aimed at enhancing safety standards among boat operators in Nigeria's inland waterways. Approximately 100 boat drivers from Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited are participating in this in-house certification training, which is designed to address safety protocols and reduce the incidence of accidents on the waterways. The program reflects a commitment to improving operational standards and ensuring compliance with NIWA regulations.
